Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

What techniques do you use?

Our chiropractors primarily utilise Neuro-Tonal Technique which is a blend of techniques including traditional hands-on, manual adjustments and light touch techniques that are safe for babies and hyper sensitive people. Each person’s care is tailored to their unique needs.

Do you do SOT (Sacro-Occipital Technique)?

Yes, our chiropractors are trained in Sacro-Occipital Technique, including cranial techniques.

Do you use "the clicker thing" (Activator)?

Yes, we can use the Activator when preferred or clinically necessary.

Do you offer cranial techniques?

Yes, our chiropractors have advanced training in cranial techniques for infants, children and adults.

Do you do "old school" chiropractic / “cracking backs”?

Yes, our chiropractors are excellent manual adjusters, AND they tailor their technique to each individual person and are trained in light touch, gentle techniques as well.

How do you provide chiropractic care to an infant or small child?

We look after lots of children – of all ages and sizes. Our techniques are tailored appropriately to the anatomy, physiology, size and stage of development that a child is at. In infants and small children we use very light touch, subtle movements and gentle stretches that are comfortable for even the smallest of beings. Some babies will occasionally sleep through an adjustment, that’s how gentle it can be!

What do the INSiGHT Scans measure?

We use INSiGHT technology to help us assess your nervous system. To learn more about what these scans can tell us, click here.

Do you take X-Rays?

Yes, we have digital X-ray facilities available onsite. If your chiropractor recommends it and you consent, we can take X-rays at the time of your initial consultation.

Once I have an adjustment there, do I have to keep coming back repeatedly?

That’s up to you, and it depends on what we find out in your initial consultation. Some care plans are short, but if you’ve got a significant or long term problem you want solved, it could require more time and repetition to reach a resolution.

We will always give you options to choose from when it comes to your care plan recommendations, and we’ll never pressure you to decide one way or another. Sometimes we might refer you to a provider who is better equipped to give you the best help.

Your healthcare is your choice; our job is to be thorough in our assessment, explanation and education so that you can make the best informed choice for yourself or your family.

While many families do choose ongoing chiropractic care for their general wellbeing, not everyone does. We’re here to help you in whatever way suits you best at that time.
